Poker is the New Chess

Looking through some of the slashdot posts that I've missed over the past few weeks I stumbled on an interesting article about using poker to study artificial intelligence. Poker, much like the real world is a game of incomplete information, and so the better performing bots are those that are able to infer certain things based on other actions rather than simply calculating the best decision.
